Privacy policy
Growdex Ads (“Growdex”, “we”, “us”) is a web app at growdex.ai that helps businesses create, publish and manage their own ads on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and Google. It is run by Growdex Technology Solutions Limited, a company registered in Nigeria. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider), and the people you invite to your workspace.
- Your business: the details you give us, such as business name, website, country, currency, what you sell and your budget.
- Connected ad accounts: when you connect Meta, TikTok or Google, the platform gives us an access key for the accounts you choose. We store it encrypted. We also read the names and ids of those ad accounts, their currency and, where offered, their balance.
- Campaign data: the campaigns, ads, keywords, audiences and budgets you build in Growdex, and the results the platforms report for them (such as impressions, clicks, spend and conversions).
- Files you upload: images and videos you add to your library for use in ads.
- Sales sharing (optional): if you turn this on, details of your sales that you send us, such as order value and your buyer’s email or phone number. We scramble (hash) email addresses and phone numbers before sending them to an ad platform and never send them in readable form.
- Basic technical data: the cookies that keep you signed in, and server logs (such as IP address, browser and time) used for security and fixing problems. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on the app.
2. How we use it
- To run the service: building, publishing, pausing and changing your campaigns, and showing your results.
- To give suggestions, alerts, summaries and AI-drafted campaign ideas about your own ads.
- To send you emails you can control in Settings, such as a weekly summary and alerts, plus essential account emails.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to advertise to you or to anyone else.
3. Google user data
If you connect Google Ads, you sign in with Google and allow Growdex to use the Google Ads API on your behalf (the “https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords” permission), plus your basic profile email so you can see which Google login is connected.
- What we access: the Google Ads accounts your login can manage, their names, ids and currency; the campaigns Growdex creates in them; and the performance reports for those campaigns.
- How we use it: only to provide the features you ask for in Growdex: listing your accounts, creating and publishing your Search campaigns, pausing and resuming them, changing budgets, and showing results, suggestions and alerts to you.
- Sharing: we do not share Google user data with anyone except the service providers listed below, who process it only to run Growdex for you, or where the law requires it.
- No advertising or AI training: we never use Google user data for advertising, never sell it, and never use it to develop, improve or train general AI or machine-learning models. Where you ask for AI suggestions, your own campaign figures may be sent to our AI provider only to produce that answer for you, under terms that forbid training on it.
- Storage and deletion: your Google access key is stored encrypted. When you disconnect Google in Integrations, we delete the key straight away. You can also remove Growdex at any time from your Google Account’s security settings.
Growdex’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Meta and TikTok data
The same rules apply to data from Meta and TikTok: we use it only to run your campaigns and show you your results, store access keys encrypted, delete them when you disconnect, and never sell the data. Your use of those platforms is also covered by their own policies.
5. Who we share information with
We use trusted providers to run Growdex. They may store or process your information for us and only as we instruct:
- Vercel (hosting the app), Neon (our database and sign-in), our cloud file storage provider (uploaded images and videos), Resend (sending email), and Anthropic (AI suggestions and drafts).
- Meta, TikTok and Google, when you connect them and ask Growdex to create or change campaigns, or send sales data you have turned on.
- Authorities, if the law requires it or to protect people from harm.
Some of these providers are outside Nigeria. Where information leaves Nigeria, we rely on safeguards required by the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. Ad platform keys are deleted as soon as you disconnect. If you ask us to close your account, we delete your workspace, campaigns, files and keys within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections, encrypt ad platform keys at rest, limit who on our team can access data, and only request the permissions each feature needs. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us at once at support@growdex.ai if you think your account has been misused.
8. Your choices and rights
You can see and change most of your information in Growdex, disconnect any ad platform, and turn off optional emails and sales sharing. You can also ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, by writing to support@growdex.ai. We reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
9. Children
Growdex is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top, and tell you by email or in the app if the change is important.
